"Received: from" SMTP header reveals my home IP address

Dobrý den,

Thank you for making Email Profi available, it's a great and useful service. I have a question regarding your outgoing mail servers setup.

When sending e-mail over SMTP using a desktop or mobile client, apparently the default behaviour of the SMTP servers has been to track the originating IP address and include it in the headers. This way, the recipient of the e-mail can always see where the e-mail had originated from.

However, over the last few years I have noticed some mail providers or protocols (e.g. Microsoft Exchange) stop doing that. The sender's IP address information is simply omitted from the headers.

I have tried sending an e-mail using my domain connected to Email Profi, and your SMTP server does include the originating IP address (my home IP address) with the e-mail headers. Here's what it looks like (edited):

Received: from smtpclient.apple (1-2-3-4.myisp.example.com []) by email-relay3.ng.seznam.cz (Seznam SMTPD 1.3.128) with ESMTP; Tue, 23 Nov 2021 08:34:16 +0100 (CET)

Do you consider this a privacy issue? Would your team be willing to look into it?

I understnad what you mean, but i can´t check if via forum. In this case, please contact my colleagues, specialists for Email and Email profi, online Here via chat in working day between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. I recomand to use some translator to Czech language, I am not sure if there will be possibility to communicate in English.

Thank you for understanding and wish you have a nice day,
